ConnecticutThe IT security group is responsible for maintaining an available, safe and secure computing environment that does not inhibit academic creativity or usefulness. Our responsibilities include:
- Implementing centralized technologies to provide a secure infrastructure;
- Creating written policies and standards that provide direction for the proper handling of University information technology resources;
- Assisting in initiatives to ensure regulatory compliance;
- Serving as an advisory resource for UITS and other University departments;
- Facilitating the reporting (860-486-8255) and proper escalation of technology misuse situations.
