Peer-to-Peer

Effective August 9, 2006
Peer-to-Peer applications (e.g. BitTorrent, eDonkey, Limewire, etc.) will be blocked by default for all users on the network.

Authenticated users who have a need to legally download materials may request unrestricted P2P services for a 24 hour period. It is assumed that by making such a request that the user acknowledges all downloads performed during this period are legal and consistent with all federal and state laws, as well as University policies. The request for peer-to-peer access applies only to the computer the request is made from.
